This in another healthy alternative fake recipe in my collection. Swap roasted peanuts for a much lower calorie and healthy alternative.
Roasted Spiced Chickpeas
1 can of chickpeas, drained and patted dry.
1 tsp olive oil
2 tsp spice seasoning (I use Garam Masala for the nearest taste to dry roasted peanuts)
Simply put the chickpeas in a roasting tray, drizzle over the oil, shake around, sprinkle the seasoning and shake around again.
Pop into a preheated oven for about 20-25 until the chickpeas go brown and nutty looking.
Allow to cool before munching.
Tip – Adding salt before serving completes the deception.
Try seasoning with homemade Dukka mix and putting a handful on top of a bowl of homemade hummus.
